I want to tackle a well-meaning question that recently came my way: Why did I decide to publish a book about business growth using AI that might lead some to believe they no longer need my services? This question was asked by someone who had read my book and came away believing they had become empowered, almost to the point where they at least cerebrally imagined themselves fully equipped to tackle their challenges without further assistance. This perspective is understandable, and I’m here to provide clarity on this matter. My intention in writing this book was not to render my role obsolete but to enrich the path we can travel together towards success.
The Unique Journey to Success
The journey to achieving business success is unique for each individual and entity. My book offers a compilation of a framework and strategies I have honed through extensive research of industry giants like Google, Amazon, Airbnb, Uber and others have done and continue to do to boost revenue in ways that work for businesses of any size but enhanced and tailored to your unique business and through the use of AI. However, while the details are extensive, this is merely the opening chapter of what I can bring to our collaboration.
The Limitations of AI in Personalized Growth
Artificial intelligence and other tools are excellent for generating and designing content. However, they fall short of replicating the genuine human connection, collaboration, and tailored advice that I offer. AI has its place. But for those who want feedback and a human connection AI falls way short.
Given these insights, one might think I’m positioning myself as an authority figure or as “somebody” in the field. However, that’s not my intention at all. In a world where our media landscape is saturated with individuals vying for attention in any way possible, it’s evident that in Western cultures, there’s a tendency to value personality over substantive evidence—a trend not as prevalent in non-Western cultures. This brings to mind an African proverb: “Examine what is said, not who is speaking.” The framework for business growth using AI that I discuss is not about elevating myself as some sort of ‘guru.’ I have no desire to be seen in that light. Instead, I view my role as a facilitator of knowledge, offering insights I have accumulated from decades of research and hands-on experience across various industries. This spans more than forty years of professional life, now augmented by the latest in AI-driven strategies for business development, marketing, and growth.
