I’ve quietly relaunched one of my older domains, YourFirstBizWebsite.com, with a simple mission:
To help beginners build a real business website — from start to finish — with full control, no gimmicks, and no need for tech skills.
Earlier today I came across multiple Reddit threads where people were asking things like:
- “How do I even start building a website?”
- “Is WordPress still worth using in 2024?”
- “What steps should I follow to launch a site that’s actually mine?”
- “How do I avoid the ‘website builder’ scams?”
Most of the answers were a mix of scattered advice, half-truths, or links to platforms that trap people in limited ecosystems.
So I decided to fix that.
The new version of YourFirstBizWebsite.com is built specifically for people who:
- Are starting from scratch
- Don’t want to get locked into someone else’s platform
- Want a step-by-step walkthrough from domain name to live site
- Want to actually own the site they build — not rent space on someone else’s URL
Each step is its own standalone page.
No popups. No sales pitch. No fine print.

Why This Matters
Most people who fail to get their site off the ground don’t fail because of lack of effort — they fail because they didn’t know what came next. Or they picked the wrong starting point and got trapped in a system that doesn’t serve them.
This project is my way of removing that guesswork. You don’t have to remember all 12 steps. Just bookmark the site, and come back when you’re ready for the next one.
